Engagement shoot with Natalie & Brett at Hartshead Pike in Mossley
The following images are from a pre-wedding shoot featuring Natalie & Brett and were captured at Hartshead Pike in Mossley, I'm honoured they've chosen me as their photographer for the big day later this year.
Ordinarily when you go on a shoot you pray for good weather, a pointless exercise really when you live in the north of England but we live in hope. As usual I arrived on location about 15 minutes before the agreed meet up time, allowing me time to look around. Surprisingly (NOT) it was very a grey and cold day with no sunshine and a lot of wind. I wondered if this would make them look miserable, nothing dampens people's spirits like grey miserable weather - All I could do was wait for them to arrive and see how it went.
The location was chosen by the couple, I always try to use somewhere that has special meaning or is close to their hearts (making the clients more relaxed & comfortable) - this is where Brett popped the question so really it's as good as it gets. What's more it turns out that the weather on this day was pretty much identical to the weather on the day he proposed, so although not great weather it was a nice touch for the couple.
When you see the views of the Greater Manchester skyline from this vantage point, it's clear why Brett chose this spot!!
Not long until I can capture more pics of the lovely couple on their big day...... Ooooooh (yes I did make that sound as I typed).
Lastly, I've attached a few examples of the same location I captured on a separate visit...
